Type species: Microtachycines tamdaoensis Gorochov, 1992 , by original designation.

Generic diagnosis (modified from Gorochov, 1992). Body usually with conspicuous streaks. Tubercles in vertex strongly raised, pointed and well-divided ( Fig. 2 , 10 ). External genicular lobe of fore femur with 1 long movable spine, internal genicular lobe of fore femur with 1 small spine ( Fig. 3 , 11 ); fore tibiae with spines beneath, between the apical spines with 1 median spine. External and internal genicular lobe of mid femur with 1 apical spine separately. Hind femur with internal spines beneath. Hind metatarsus with 1 apical spine dorsally. Posterior margin of 7 th abdominal tergum without projection. Epiproct of male prolonging backwards ( Fig. 4 , 14 ). Dorsolateral lobes of male genitalia sclerotized; middle lobes of male genitalia degenerated relative to dorsolateral lobes, i.e. middle lobe somewhat shorter than dorsolateral lobes ( Fig. 7 a–g, 16).
