Filaments of main axis uniseriate, densely laterally branched, clearly constricted at the cross-walls, lacking sheaths. Cells located in the main axis rounded. At the base cells of branched filaments rounded, becoming cylindrical and elongated. Heterocytes spherical or elongatecylindrical, intercalary, lateral, or terminal.
