Pseudaulacaspis coluisuvae Williams & Watson
This species was described from Viti Levu, Fiji, off an unknown host by Williams and Watson (1988a). Previous to this study, this was the only record. Here we record it from Fiji: Viti Levu, Naivicule, on? Ficus sp., 4.xii.1957, B.A. O’Connor (BMNH): 3/7adff (good); also Vanua Levu, Sawani, midrib of undentified plant, 21.ii.1951, B.A. O’Connor (BMNH): 1/1adf (good). We also record it for the first time from the Solomon Is.: Kolambangara, on Terminalia colamasanae , 7.viii.1980, M. Bigger (BMNH): 2/5adff (good). These records suggest that this species could be more widespread than the initial description suggested. There was some variation in the frequency of the larger dorsal ducts on the head within all three collections. All specimens had at least one duct near the head margins, but most had only two ducts, either one on either side of the head or one near the margin and one in the midline. Despite this variation, all three collections are here considered to be P. coluisuvae .
