TYPE MATERIAL AND TYPE LOCALITY: MACN 25333 View Materials , the holotype by original designation, consists of the skin, skull, postcranial skeleton, and preserved tissues of an adult female collected at the Reserva Provincial Santa Ana (27.43° S, 65.78° W; 455 m), Tucumán province, Argentina GoogleMaps .
SYNONYMS: None.
DISTRIBUTION: Lutreolina massoia occurs in premontane and montane forests of the Yungas ecoregion in southeastern Bolivia and northwestern Argentina, from about 450 to 2000 m above sea level ( Martínez-Lanfranco et al., 2014: fig. 1).
