This is a large genus with only few representatives in the New World ( Champion 1911; Supare et al. 1990; Howden

1993a). There is no key to separate Mexican species; see Champion (1911) to check their descriptions. Adults are usually collected on low herbaceous plants ( Anderson 2002).
