Distribution: Tanzania, East Usambara, Nguru and Ukami Mountains (Ragge 1980); coastal forest Tanzania near Dar es Salaam.

Habitat: Coastal, lowland and submontane forest.

Remarks: The spirit collection of the zoological museum in Copenhagen holds specimens of this species caught in the Kazimzumbwi forest reserve, Kisarawe district, near Dar es Salaam showing that this species also occurs in coastal forest.
