Note:—According to Arts. 6.12–13 of the ICN, the name Campanula carnica Schiede ex Mert. & W.D.J.Koch isn’t explicitly proposed as a substitute for Campanula linifolia Scop., Annus Hist. -Nat. 2: 47(–48). 1769., non L., Amoen. Acad., Linnaeus ed. 4: 479. 1759. [November 1759], so that it may be treated either as a replacement name or as the name of a new taxon. The choice of its status was made by Podlech (1965) by means of lectotypification (Art. 6.13).
