Tricentrus foliocornatus Yuan & Fan, 2002

Tricentrus foliocornatus Yuan & Fan, 2002: 411 .

Description. Body length (including forewing): male 6.4mm (N=1); forewing length: male (damaged) 4.8mm (N=1); width between suprahumeral horn apices: male 2.2mm (N=1); width between humeral angle apices: male 2.6mm (N=1).

Coloration. Dorsum wine-red. Ocelli and eyes yellow-brown. Femora black. Forewing yellow-brown with crescent-shaped white transparent stripe near midlength and with the following parts bearing white, waxy, pubescence with the exception of the head, pronotum and forewing veins yellow: thoracic pleura, coxae, inner surfaces of legs.

Head and thorax. Vertex with dorsal and ventral margins bow-shaped and slightly oblique respectively; ocelli slightly closer to inner margins of eyes than to each other; frontoclypeal margins broadly expanding ventrad, frontoclypeal lobes distinct and half as long as frontoclypeal margins ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Pronotum with suprahumeral horns growth forward, beyond vertex, ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ); posterior pronotal process terminating approximately at two-thirds of clavus forewing ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Basal fourth of forewing with opaque sclerotization, with punctures, veins M and Cu fused for approximately basal fourth of wing, veins M+Cu and R fused basally ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Metathoracic tibia with three longitudinal rows of cucullate setae, and trochanter with small processes ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ).

Male genitalia. Pygofer nearly rectangular, distinct carina present anteriorly on dorsal half ( Fig. 5G View FIGURE 5 ); nearly annular in posterior view ( Fig. 5J View FIGURE 5 ). Sternite IX longer than width ( Fig. 5H View FIGURE 5 ). Lateral plate slightly medially depressed, apex slightly convex, dorsal lobe narrow and extended in the middle ( Fig. 5K View FIGURE 5 ). Basal two-thirds of subgenital plate fused ( Fig. 5J View FIGURE 5 ). Style clasp angled dorsally; recurved distally, dorsal surface bearing setae; connective N-shaped ( Fig. 5M View FIGURE 5 ). Aedeagus C-shaped in lateral view, narrow in anterior view, apical half with serrations covering both interior faces ( Figs 5I, 5L View FIGURE 5 ).

Specimens examined. 1³, China: Zhejiang, Hangzhou City linan, 19 August 2011, Bing Li .

Distribution. China (Fujian, Zhejiang).

Remarks. This species may be distinguished by the following characteristics: 1) supraumeral horns growth forward, beyond vertex, foliaceous; 2) forewing yellow-brown with white transparent crescent-shaped medial stripe, and with two rows of setae; 3) inner surfaces of legs with white, dense setae. Specimens examined were from Zhejiang, the province neighboring Fujian which is home to the type locality.
