Calamincola lobatus Casto, 1978 View in CoL

This species was described from Crotophaga sulcirostris from USA (Texas) ( Casto 1977, 1978). Then, Hromada et al. (2016) found it on the same host species from Mexico (Jalisco) and Colombia. Herein, I provide another record of this species from a new locality in Mexico (Veracruz).

Material examined. Three females and 2 males from Crotophaga sulcirostris , MEXICO: Veracruz, Los Tuxtlas, 15 May 2008, coll. S.V. Mironov (SVM 08-0515-1/2); mite specimens deposited in UNAM and UMMZ.
