Diagnosis. This species is similar to C. angustiptera Li, 2004 in the male genitalia. It can be differentiated by the saccus slightly longer than the valva, the apically pointed elongate ectophallus reaching the uncus, and the aedeagus with setae distally. In C. angustiptera , the saccus is about four times the length of the valva, the apically rounded short ectophallus does not reach the uncus, and the aedeagus lacks setae.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 7‒14 ). Wingspan 13.0‒18.0 mm. Head black, part of scales tipped with white. Labial palpus black; second segment greyish white on inner surface, slightly longer than diameter of eye; third segment greyish white at apex, about 1/3 length of second segment. Antenna with scape dark brown on dorsal surface, greyish white at apex, greyish white on ventral surface; flagellum brown, basal several flagellomeres darker. Thorax and tegula black. Forewing leaden grey, with dense black scales; costal margin straight, black, with six greyish white dots evenly spaced from middle to apex; apex acute; termen obliquely straight, black; with nine raised white-tipped black scale tufts: three scale tufts arranged in a row, from basal 1/6 below costal margin obliquely inward to basal 1/5 of 1A+2A above dorsum, other scale tufts on median 1/3 of wing arranged in two rows, tufts at upper and lower angles of cell edged with yellow scales, forming a crescent yellow mark; black band from distal 1/5 of costal margin curved to tornus, sinuate along both outer and inner margins; fringe black. Hindwing greyish brown; apex narrowly rounded; termen obliquely straight; fringe grey to greyish brown.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES15‒20 ). Uncus triangular, two times longer than width of base, weakly sclerotized, with short sparse setae. Tegumen enlarged posteriorly, lateral arm narrowly banded. Valva sub-rectangular; apex concave inward at middle, forming two apically rounded lobes: dorsal lobe with long setae and ventral lobe with short setae sparsely; dorsobasal process rod-shaped, weakly sclerotized, setose distally, curved and extending outward; ventrobasal process wedge-shaped, heavily sclerotized along ventral edge, longer than dorsobasal process and subparallel to it. Transtilla narrowly banded. Vinculum almost as high as tegumen; saccus slender, rounded at apex, slightly longer than valva. Juxta with basal 3/5 largely dilated, sub-triangular, distal 2/5 sharply narrow, short digitate. Ectophallus sword-shaped, narrowed to acute apex, reaching uncus apically, heavily sclerotized laterally, its basal corner extended along basal half of costa of valva, forming a sclerotized edge fused with valva. Aedeagus slender, tube-shaped, slightly dilated at base, distal 1/8 slightly thickened; cornuti being a row of several strong spines of unequal size.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China: Tibet, Yunnan.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin prefix setifer - (setose) and aedeagus, referring to the aedeagus with setae distally in the male genitalia.
