Originally described from Suriname. Additional published locality records are from Venezuela, Ecuador ( Perkins 2019c, 2020b), and Panama ( Perkins 2021). Habitus and male genitalia images are given in Perkins (2019c). New locality and deposition data for Bolivia and Brazil are given below. A widespread species in South America ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 61–62 ).

Remarks. I have examined the holotype, including the male genitalia, of H. bruggei Makhan , and concur with Oliva (1996) that H. bruggei is a junior synonym of H. piroei Makhan.
