Quedius (Sauridus) orientalis KORGE, 1971b: 18 View in CoL f.
T y p e m a t e r i a l e x a m i n e d: Holotype ♂ [dissected prior to present study]: " Iran: Kermanshahan, Heinz leg. / Songhor, ca. 1800 m, 7.VIII.1969 / ♂ - Holotypus Quedius (Sauridus) orientalis Korge View in CoL " (MNB). Paratypes: 2♀♀: same data as holotype (MNB).
C o m m e n t: The original description is based on a male holotype and two female paratypes from "Songhor, ca. 1800 m, Kermanshahan ( Iran)" ( KORGE 1971b). In external ( Fig. 25 View Figs 25-27 ) and the male sexual characters ( Figs 15-17 View Figs 13-24 ) similar to Q. hermonensis , Q. orientalis is characterized particularly by the shape of the median lobe of the aedeagus, which has the apex very acute in ventral view. The species is currently known only from Iran ( Map 1 View Map 1 ).
