Platyrrhacus venezuelianus Brölemann, 1898: 321 (original description); Jeekel 1963: 92 (taxonomic comment; as P. venezuelanus ); Jeekel 2007: 92 (taxonomic comment).

Types: ♀ holotype from Venezuela: Llanos de Venezuela, 1896. Material originally deposited in the MNHN, we could not confirm its current state; it is not listed in their on-line database.

Distribution: Llanos de Venezuela.

Comments: Jeekel (1963, 2007) suggested that this could be a member of Rhyphodesmus , if not a junior synonym of R. drurii .
