Types: ♂ holotype from Panama: Prov . Chiriquí: Los Siguas ; H. Pittier leg, 17-III-1911. Deposited at the NMNH, cat. no. 2079 in the original description ( Hoffman 1953a), 2097 in the NMNH database (D. DeRoche, pers. comm.).
Distribution: known only from the type locality.
