Replaced name:— Rubus ellipticus Pavlyutkin (2005: 112 , pl. 31, fig. 6), nom. illeg. non Rubus ellipticus Smith (in Rees 1815: 4 P2 [ Rubus n 16]).

Type:—19/9151- A (Far Eastern Geological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladivostok, Russian Federation).

Geography:—Novokachalinsk, Primorye Territory, Russian Federation.

Stratigraphy:—Middle Miocene.

Status:—Leaves.

Eponymy:—From Primorye Territory, locus classicus.

Note:—The fossil-species Rubus ellipticus Pavlyutkin was described from the Middle Miocene sedimens of Primorye Territory ( Russian Federation); it was established on fossil leaves. However, the fossil-species is a later illegitimate homonym of the extant species Rubus ellipticus Smith. Therefore , a new replacement name is validated here for the fossil-species.
