CONTEXT AND CONTENT. Order Rodentia View in CoL , suborder Myomorpha View in CoL , family Cricetidae View in CoL , subfamily Sigmodontinae View in CoL , tribe Phyllotini . Within Eligmodontia 7 species are currently recognized: E. bolsonensis , E. dunaris , E. hirtipes , E. moreni , E. morgani , E. puerulus , and E. typus . The following key was developed from characteristics provided by Osgood (1943), Mann (1978), Díaz (2000), Mares et al. (2008), and Spotorno et al. (2013).
