Type material. CHINA, Guangxi: Holotype ♂, Nandan County, Hechi City, 10.VIII.2011, leg. SL Hao & YH Sun, slide No. TZL19915 . Paratypes: 1♂, Yongfu, Guilin, VI.2006, leg. ZF Zhao, slide No. TZL19913 ; 1♂, Longbon, Jingxi, Baise City , 770 m, 14‒15.VII.2013, leg. XF Yang, slide No. TZL20568 .
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to P. ningshanensis Wang, 2006 and P. trunciformis in male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the uncus parallel sided mediolaterally while the uncus is gradually narrowed to apex in the latter two species. It can be further distinguished from P. ningshanensis by the valva straight apically, and the saccus nearly uniform in width, while the valva is rounded apically and the saccus is narrowed to apex in P. ningshanensis ; from P. trunciformis by the thumb-shaped basal process of the costa, which is slender digitate in P. trunciformis .
Description. Male adult ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 4–9 ). Wingspan 13.0 mm. Head pale yellow. Antenna yellow, flagellum ringed with blackish brown dorsally. Labial palpus pale yellow, mixed with blackish brown scales. Thorax and tegula yellowish brown. Forewing yellow, mixed with sparse blackish brown scales, with a black spot near base of fold and subcostal margin; discal, discocellular, plical and tornal spots black, small; terminal dots black, running from before apex of costal margin and along termen; fringe yellow. Hindwing and fringe pale greyish brown. Fore- and midlegs black on dorsal surface, pale yellow on ventral surface; hindlegs pale yellow, mixed with blackish brown scales on outer surface.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10–15 ). Uncus wide at base, narrowed to basal 1/4, parallel sided from basal 1/4 to basal 3/4 laterally, thereafter narrowed to more sclerotized and rounded apex. Tegumen with lateral arms subrectangular, obtuse apically. Valva narrow in basal 1/4, slightly broadened and densely hairy from basal 1/4 to straight apex; costa concave at basal 1/4, basal process thumb-shaped; sacculus slightly wide at base, narrowed to before middle of ventral margin of valva. Juxta extended outward as a wide band, produced and concave in middle on anterior margin. Saccus nearly uniform, rounded apically, shorter than uncus. Phallus tubular, about 2/3 length of valva, broader at base, slightly tapered to apex; cornuti composed of a bunch of spines ( Fig. 10a View FIGURES 10–15 ).
Female unknown.
Distribution. China (Guangxi).
Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the type locality, Guangxi.
