Transpalearktický druh častý na světlinÁch vzrostlých jehličnatých lesů. Larvy se živÍ mšicemi v korunÁch smrků.

Tichá říčka PP [44]: 25.VI.-14.VII.2004, 1 ♂ (MT); 14.-30.VII.2004, 2 ♂♂ (YPT), 1 ♀ (MT). Tišina [45]: 18.VI.2007, 1 ♀.
