Diagnosis. Mouth parts styliform. Mandible incisor styliform, molar absent. Coxa 1 reduced and partially covered by coxa 2. Gnathopod 1 strongly subchelate and robust; propodus inverted in adult stage; palm with stout setae; dactylus large. Telson small, entire or cleft (modified from Barnard & Karaman, 1991).
Remarks. Propodus of gnathopod 1 on juveniles can be not inverted as in adults. Some species on the entire telson group can have a slightly cleft telson in juvenile stages.
