Adamas gen. nov.
Etymology. The specific epithet is formed from the Latin adamas (diamond), referring to the diamond (lozenge)- like scutellum.
Type Species. † Adamas hukawngensis sp. nov.
Diagnosis. Adamas gen. nov. is distinguished from all recent and extinct genera of Lymexylidae by the lozengeshaped scutellum with a longitudinal median groove.
