DESCRIPTION. — Male: humeral area convexly rounded rounded, not sinuous. Stria 6 usually interrupted about the middle by the lateral flange. Elytral declivity in lateral view steeper, with a more pronounced curvature than in P. hibisci . Femora rather strongly clavate. Aedeagus less than 4 x longer than wide between base and sides of ostial area, with short, not upturned apex.
Female: elytra distinctly rounded on sides. Ventrite 5 at base with a deep, crescent-shaped, shiny excavation.
Length: 3.2-4.7 mm.
TYPE MATERIAL. — No syntypes present. Identified specimens with NZAC, SRFP .
MATERIAL EXAMINED. — New Caledonia: Baie de Prony , Balade , Houaïlou , Nouméa. Loyalty Is: Lifou, Maré. Île des Pins. 26 specimens .
HOSTPLANTS. — The specicmens from Maré I, were found on avocado ( Persea americana , Lauraceae ).
ETYMOLOGY. — The species is named after the French entomologist Edmond Fleutiaux.
