* Amerodectes bilineatus ( Berla, 1958)
Material examined. Ex Tangara gyrola (L.) ( Passeriformes : Thraupidae ): 1 male, Dept. Tolima: Casabianca, Palma Peñita, (5° 4' 10.9'' N, 75° 6' 5.8'' W), 9 May 2008, coll. M. Díaz, C. Gómez & Y. Molina, capture code TOL 11-II-05. New host record.
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Caryothraustes canadensis brasiliensis Cabanis ( Passeriformes : Cardinalidae ) from Brazil ( Berla 1958). Later on, this mite was recorded in the same country ex C. c. frontalis (Hellmayr) ( Valim & Hernandes 2006) , ex Thraupis sayaca (Linnaeus) (Rio de Janeiro) and ex T. episcopus (Linnaeus) (Para) ( Passeriformes : Thraupidae ) ( Valim & Hernandes 2010).
Amerodectes gracilis (Trouessart, 1885)
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Psarocolius decumanus (Pallas) ( P. citrius in original publication) ( Passeriformes : Icteridae ) from “ Nouvelle-Grenade ” and Brazil ( Trouessart 1885a). Later on, it was recorded from the same host in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Amazonas) ( Berla 1959a; Valim & Hernandes 2010). Other Brazilian records are ex P. viridis (Müller) (Rio de Janeiro, Roraima, Para) ( Valim & Hernandes 2008), ex Cacicus haemorrhous (Linnaeus) (São Paulo), and ex C. cela (Linnaeus) (Para) ( Valim & Hernandes 2010).
Remarks. “ Nouvelle-Grenade ” one of old names used for Colombia including Panama and parts of Nicaragua, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil.

Material examined. Ex Thraupis episcopus (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Thraupidae ): 1 male and 1 female, Dept. Tolima: Lérida, Padilla, (4° 57’ 23.6’’N, 74° 58’ 89’’W), 3 May 2008, coll. M. Díaz, C. Gómez & Y. Molina, capture code TOL 4-II-02.
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Thraupis episcopus from Surinam (Tawajariweg) ( Č erný 1974). Later on, it was recorded from the same host and ex T. palmarum (Wied) , T. cyanoptera (Vieillot) , T. sayaca (Linnaeus) from Brazil (Para, Rio de Janeiro) ( Valim & Hernandes 2010).
Material examined. Ex Atlapetes flaviceps Chapman ( Passeriformes : Emberizidae ): 1 female, Dept. Tolima: Casabianca, Palma Peñita, (5° 4’ 10.9” N, 75° 6’ 5.8” W), 9 May 2008, coll. M. Díaz, C. Gómez & Y. Molina, capture code TOL 1-II-05.
Remark. The host is endemic to Colombia with a very small range and is classified as endangered (IUCN, 2011).
