Heterobrephosceles sexangularis Peterson and Atyeo, 1978
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Phimosus infuscatus berlepschi Hellmayr ( Pelecaniformes : Threskiornithidae ) from Colombia (Dept. Magdalena, El Difícil) and Venezuela (Caicara, Merido) ( Peterson & Atyeo 1978), and has never been recollected since the original description.
