Genus Tinamoglyphus Gaud, Atyeo and Berla
Tinamoglyphus parvus Gaud, Atyeo and Berla, 1972
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Tinamus major saturatus (Griscom) ( Tinamiformes : Tinamidae ) from Panama (Darien) ( Gaud et al. 1972). The same authors recorded this mite ex Crypturellus noctivagus (Wied-Neuweid) from Colombia, but this species of bird is restricted to Eastern Brazil ( Clements et al. 2011).
Remark. According to Gaud et al. (1972), the record from C. noctivagus is perhaps an accidental contamination.
No known copyright restrictions apply. See Agosti, D., Egloff, W., 2009. Taxonomic information exchange and copyright: the Plazi approach. BMC Research Notes 2009, 2:53 for further explanation.
