* Rhynchocaulus glaber Peterson, Atyeo and Moss, 1980
Material examined. Ex Streptoprocne zonaris (Shaw) ( Apodiformes : Apodidae ): 3 males and 2 females, Dept. Valle del Cauca: Cali, Pance, La Pilarica, 1030 m, 6 June 1972, coll. J.I. Borrero, UV No. 3746.
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex S. z. mexicana Ridgway from Mexico (Veracruz, Potosi, Guerrero) ( Peterson et al. 1980) .
Rhynchocaulus paradoxus Gaud and Berla, 1963
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Streptoprocne zonaris (Shaw) ( Apodiformes : Apodidae ) from Brazil (Mato Grosso) ( Gaud & Berla 1963). Later on, it was recovered ex S. z. albicincta (Cabanis) from Venezuela, ex S. z. altissima Chapman from Ecuador and Colombia, ex S. z. mexicana Ridgway from Mexico, ex S. z. pallidifrons (Hertert) from Dominican Republic, Cuba and Jamaica, ex S. z. zonaris (Shaw) from Brazil, Venezuela, Paraguay and Ecuador ( Peterson et al. 1980).
Remark. According to Clements et al. (2011), S. z. zonaris is not present in Venezuela and Ecuador, therefore it is probable that R. paradoxus was recovered in those countries from another subspecies.
