Pararalichus dilatatus ( Favette and Trouessart, 1904)
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Brotogeris jugularis (Müller) ( Psittaciformes : Psittacidae ) from Ecuador and Brazil (Favette & Trouessar 1904). Later on, it was recollected from the same host from Panama (Darien), Guatemala, and Colombia (Dept. Magdalena, Bonda) ( Atyeo 1989b).
Pararalichus dilectissima Atyeo, 1989
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Touit dilectissimus (Sclater and Salvin) (as T. d. dilectissima ) ( Psittaciformes , Psittacidae ) from Colombia (Dept. Nariño, La Guayacana) and T. costaricensis (as T. d. costaricensis ) from Costa Rica (Limon) ( Atyeo 1989b).
Pararalichus hemiphyllus (Mégnin and Trouessart, 1884)
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Pionites melanocephala pallidus (Berlepsch) (as Amazona melanocephala ) ( Psittaciformes , Psittacidae ) from Guyana, Ecuador and ex Pionus menstruus (Linnaeus) (as Amazona menstrua ) from “l’Amérique Méridionale” ( Mégnin & Trouessart 1884b). Later on, it was recollected ex Touit purpuratus (Gmelin) (as Urochroma purpurata ), ex Touit batavicus (Boddaert) (as U. batavica ) from Guyana, Brazil, Colombia ( Favette & Trouessart 1904), and from the later host from Surinam (Paramiribo) and Trinidad (Princes Town) ( Atyeo 1989b).
