Type species. Comissia scitulus AH Clark, 1911b.
Diagnosis. Mouth central in fully developed individuals; ten arms only; centrodorsal circular, thin; cirri in 1 row; IBr2 series united by synarthry; first syzygy at 3+4 on arms arising from IBr; distal intersyzygial interval 2–4, mainly 3; distalmost pinnule comb on P5; comb tapers distally to a sharp point; proximal teeth knoblike or transverse bars, becoming paired, and single and nonconfluent more distally (Messing 2001).
Distribution. Known from one specimen: Philippines. Depth range: 106 m.
Remarks. The comb form in R. scitulus (described above) is unique in Comatulidae (Messing 2001) .
