PARATYPE: ZMB 34.2806 . Adult male. Loc.: Heldsbach­Küste, Finschhafen [ Papua New Guinea, 6°31' S, 147°50' E]. Date: 10 March 1910. Coll.: L. von Wiedenfeld. Ex. colls. Zoolog. Museum Breslau, Zoologische Staatssammlung Munich No. 11.608. [Skin; data on Zool. Mus. Breslau label and ZSM label].

COMMENTS: ZMB received this paratype in exchange out of the six original male paratypes. The holotype, collected on 12 March 1910, is in the ZSM, registered No. 11.606

(cf. Stresemann 1922, Frith & Beehler 1998: 410, pers. comm. Carlos Sánchez Osés April 2005). No further information on Lothar von Wiedenfeld could be obtained (Juliane Diller, Brigitte Hagelbauer, and Rudolf Lies in litt., May 2005), but it is assumed that he had some connection to the German Christian Mission in New Guinea (Neuendettelsauer Mission). Gilliard (1969: 454) listed Lothar von Wiedenfeld as collecting in 1909 and 1910 in Berlinhafen, Heldbach coast, Simbang and Sattelberg. The main collection went to Munich, some specimens are found at Wroclaw and Berlin.
