Material examined. Type. Holotype ♀: MADAGASCAR: Toamasina Province, Analamay, 18°48.22'S 48°20.13'E, 1068 m, 21.III.2004, sifted litter (leaf mold, rotten wood), montane rainforest, Malagasy ant tem leg. ( CAS).

Redescription. Female: apterous; length 4.9 mm. Head brown, except mandible, clypeus and anterior region of face (with stripes along orbits) testaceous; antenna brown, with ventral side of segment 1, segment 10, ventral side of segments 6–10 testaceous-whitish; mesosoma black, except lateral margins of pronotum testaceous; metasoma brown, with testaceous spots; legs brown, except meso- and metatrochanter, part of coxae, part of protrochanter, part of meso- and metafemur testaceous-whitish; tarsi testaceous. Antenna clavate; rhinaria present on segments 6–10; antennal segments in following proportions: 12:6:19:8:7:6:6:5:5:10. Head excavated, dull, with occiput unsculptured and face sculptured by many longitudinal irregular striae; vertex with many transverse irregular striae situated on sides of posterior ocelli; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; temple distinct; POL = 1.5; OL = 2; OOL = 10. Palpal formula 5/3. Pronotum shiny, smooth, unsculptured, crossed by strong transverse furrow. Scutum shiny, smooth, sculptured by many longitudinal striae, with two large lateral pointed apophyses; scutum about as long as broad (length calculated from anterior margin to imaginary line joining two lateral pointed apophyses of scutum). Scutellum shiny, smooth, flat. Metanotum not hollow behind scutellum, flat, smooth, unsculptured; metanotum with two large lateral rounded protrusions. Metathorax + propodeum shiny, with anterior surface shiny, smooth, unsculptured; posterior surface transversely striate. Mesopleuron smooth, shiny, unsculptured. Metapleuron transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsal segments in following proportions: 15:3.5:5:21:34. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 22. 19 ) with two rows of 4 + 16 lamellae; distal apex with at least 40 lamellae. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 22. 19 ) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of six lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
