Report associated with sponges: This species was reported among sponges and broken shells perforated by sponge Cliona sp. at subtidal area of Beaufort, North Carolina, Eastern North America (Newell 1947) .

Remarks: This species was also found among various substrata: algae, hydroids, ascidians from Eastern North America (Newell 1947).
