( Figs 19G–M View FIGURE19 , 20A–H View FIGURE 20 )

Females. Mandible with five distal teeth, evenly developed; clypeus short; antennal scrobe carinate; frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli small; vertex convex. Pronotal disc with transverse carina incomplete; parapsidal signum with anterior half continuous; anterior margin of propodeal declivity not setose; mesopleuron with lower mesopleural fovea opened, mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with R1 vein indistinct. Mesotibia not spinose. Metatrochanter with lateral expansion. Metasoma with distal spiracle of metasoma small. Posterior hypopygeal margin projected convex. Genitalia with 2vv as long as 1vv, and apex slender; sting (1vv+2vv) long [surpassing 3vv apex]; T9 swollen apically; 1vf strongly curved upward; 1rv curved or strongly curved, with 1rv ventral process small, and posterior process short.

Males. Frons not or weakly coriaceous , without color reflect of body metallic. Clypeus long; median clypeal carina as high as epistomal suture, in lateral view]; antenna not elongate; antennal scrobe carinate. Pronotal disc with transverse carina complete. Metapostnotum with first pair of metapostnotal carina and metapostnotalpropodeal suture convergence absent; propodeal declivity with sculptured present. Mesopleuron with lower mesopleural fovea and mesopleural suture opened. Forewing with Cu vein distinct of cu-a and R-rs&Rs vein indistinct. Genitalia with paramere longer than basiparamere; inner margin of basivolsella straight.

Distribution. This group is restricted to Neotropical region.

Remarks: This new group represents the only one with all the included species sharing the characteristic “transverse pronotal carina incomplete”. To corroborate the value of female genitalia characteristics, we observed as an exclusive characteristic for franciscanus species the trait “2vf swollen at apex”. We propose franciscanus as new species-group, and reallocate all species that share the diagnostic characteristics. This species-group is composed of nine species ( Table 1).
