Material examined. Silverado, 25 May 2008, one specimen, 16 mm.
Description. This specimen had a thick body wall with a band of red conical pre-anal papillae. There were fewer than 25 rings of hooks; hooks with a distinct triangle and an indistinct secondary tooth.
Habitat. Subtidal calcareous rock, 11 m.
Remarks. This is the first record for this species in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
Distribution. Phascolosoma scolops has been reported from numerous locations in the Mediterranean Sea, eastern Atlantic, and Indian Ocean ( Cutler 1994). In the Pacific it is known from Australia and Hawaii.
