Length. Male: 4.0mm.

Head and pronotum pale yellow; vertex with six small, dark brown marks on anterior margin, some yellow brown patches on vertex (Plate III: G); frontoclypeus with fuscous arcs. Pronotum with six yellow brown longitudinal stripes (Plate III: G). Leg marked with dark brown. Forewing light brown, cells bordered with dark brown, sometimes fuscous spots present at base of central subapical cell and claval area.

Forewing macropterous, inner anteapical cell open basally.

Male genitalia. Subgenital plate short, subtriangular, lateral margin almost straight, apex acute ( Fig. 26 View FIGURE 26. M B); style preapical lobe short and narrow, apophysis short and robust, tapered to acute apex over distal half, slightly laterally curved ( Fig. 26 View FIGURE 26. M C); connective as long as aedeagus, aedeagal shaft in lateral view narrow, upturned hook-like apically ( Figs 26 View FIGURE 26. M D, 26E).

Material examined. Holotype: ɗ, China, Zhejiang Prov., Mt. Gutianshan, 17 August 2003, coll. Dai Wu, at light ( NWAFU). Paratypes: 1ɗ, same data as holotype ( BMNH); 1ɗ, China, Yantai, Mt. Kunlunshan, 12 July 2001, coll. Qin Daozheng & Liu Zhenjiang, at light ( NWAFU).

Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the narrow aedeagal shaft which is upturned and hook-like apically ( Figs 26 View FIGURE 26. M D, 26E).

Etymology. This name is based on the rainbow-like shape of the aedeagus in lateral view.
