11. Limonium graecum View in CoL group.―This is a small group of endemic species with glaucescent to greyish habit, bearing tuberculate-crateriform glands. The plants are slender, the stems are fragile and bear few or no sterile branches. The spathulate leaves are densely rosulate, and cover much of the caudices. The spikelets are remotely arranged on the spikes. Karyologically, some species are clearly agamospecies, with chromosome complements of 2n = 43 or 52. The four species in this group are L. graecum (distributed on some Central Aegean Islands), L. sougiae (restricted to SW Crete), L. grabusae [known only from the islet of Gramvousa (NW Crete)], and L. spreitzenhoferi (occurring on Kythira).
