scientific name

Wingstrandarctus corallinus Kristensen, 1984
status

Wingstrandarctus corallinus Kristensen, 1984

3 specimens ( PM: 2 female, 1 male)

Comparative material: 1 specimen reported as Wingstrandarctus by Pérez-Pech et al. (2018) ( ML: 1 female)

Remarks: Analysis of all three collected specimens and a re-examination of the single Wingstrandarctus of Pérez- Pech et al. (2018) determined that all four individuals represent the species W. corallinus . The set of characters that define the species as determined by Kristensen (1984) are evident including: the presence of cephalic bacterial vesicles, a small, almost circular caudal ala, dorsal mammilliform cuticular sculpture, and the specific shape of the lateral alae.
