Abbreviated Description. Indumentum of simple hairs, leaflets 5–6, usually alternate, 11–17 cm long, 3.6–6 cm broad, elliptic to oblanceolate, petiole with a pair of minute caducous scales 0.5–1 mm long, ca. 1–1.5 cm above the base of petiole, inflorescence 12–20 cm long, a slender thyrse, petals (3–)4, 3.5–4 mm long, free, imbricate, filaments completely united, anthers 7–8, nectary patelliform, ovary 3-locular, locules with 2 collateral ovules, style-head conical, fruit 1.2–2 cm long, 3-valved, oblong to obovoid, appressed puberulous, seed solitary, completely surrounded by a fleshy arillode.

Distribution & Ecology. Southern Guyana, Roraima and Pará, Brazil, in the understorey of lowland rain forest, ascending to 600 m elevation.
