Abbreviated Description. Indumentum a mixture of minute appressed basifixed and dibrachiate hairs, leaflets 5–10, alternate or opposite, 4.7–6.8 cm long, 1.2–2.2 cm broad oblong, elliptic or lanceolate, inflorescence 1–4 cm long, a small subglabrous thyrse, petals 4–5, 2–2.5 mm long, free or fused to one third of their length, valvate, staminal tube urceolate or cyathiform, filaments completely fused, anthers 7–9, nectary absent, ovary puberulous, 3-locular, locules with 2 collateral ovules, capsule ca. 1 × 0.5 cm, 3-valved, oblong, appressed puberulous, seed solitary, completely surrounded by a fleshy arillode.

Distribution & Ecology. States of Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo, Brazil in lowland rain forest up to 250 m elevation.
