Distribution in Iran: Fars ( Atbaei et al. 2015), Kerman, Markazi (Ebrahimi 2014), Sistan-o Baluchestan ( Gussakovskij 1933), Tehran (Ebrahimi 2014).
General distribution: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand.
Remarks: This species was first recorded as Notogonia subtessellata Cameron, 1889 by Gussakovskij (1933). The subspecies Liris subtessellatus subtessellatus has been recorded from Fars ( Atbaei et al. 2015).
