Distribution in Iran: Markazi (Ebrahimi 2014; Hadi et al. 2014), Khorasan-e Razavi ( Kokujev 1902; Gussakovskij 1933), Sistan-o Baluchestan ( Gussakovskij 1933).
General distribution: Afghanistan, Hungary, Iran, Turkmenistan.
Remarks: This species was first recorded as Sphex magnificus Kohl, 1890 from Bampur (Kerman province— Gussakovskij 1933; Kokujev 1902), which is a part of Sistan-o Baluchestan province.
