Distribution in Iran: Bushehr ( Gussakovskij 1933), Khuzestan ( Ohl 1999), Sistan-o Baluchestan (de Beaumont 1970).
General distribution: Algeria, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen.
Remarks: This species was first recorded as Stizus calopteryx Handlirsch, 1892 by Gussakovskij (1933) and as Stizoides poecilopterus Handlirsch, 1892 by de Beaumont (1970).
