Distribution in Iran: Alborz ( Pulawski 1971), Fars ( Rezaei & Fallahzadeh 2015), Khorasan-e Razavi ( Pulawski 1971), Sistan-o Baluchestan ( Gussakovskij 1933), Mazandaran (de Beaumont 1957), West Azerbaijan ( Samin & Bagriacik 2016).
General distribution: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Burkina Faso, Bulgaria, Chad, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Gambia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Yemen, former Yugoslavia.
Remarks: This species was first recorded from Bampour (Kerman province—Gussakovskij 1933), which is a part of Sistan-o Baluchestan province. The subspecies Tachytes panzeri pulverosus ( Radoszkowski, 1886) has been recorded from Iran ( Pulawski 1971).
