Distribution in Iran: Ardabil ( Pulawski 1971), Kerman ( Gussakovskij 1933; Pulawski 1971), Khorasan-e Razavi ( Pulawski 1971), Sistan-o Baluchestan, Tehran ( Gussakovskij 1933; Pulawski 1971).
General distribution: Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
Remarks: In the original description, this species was recorded as Tachysphex grandissimus Gussakovskij, 1933 from Iran.
