Plateros rubromamasensis sp. n.
Type material. Holotype: male, S Sulawesi, 25 km E Mamasa , 1100 m, 119.28.39E, 3.02.10S, 2224 July 1999, Bolm lgt. ( LMBC) ; Paratype: 1 male, 1 female, same locality data ( LMBC) .
Differential diagnosis. Plateros rubromamasensis sp. n. reminds P. mamasensis sp. n. in the shape of phallus ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 1 10 , 11 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ), although some differences were found in the shape of apical part and the phallus of P. rubromamasensis sp. n. is more robust ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 1 10 , 11 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ).
Description. Body small, slender, parallelsided, black, only very narrow elytral margins reddish brown. Body covered with dense light pubescence. Head small, eyes hemispherically prominent, interocular distance 1.08 times eye diameter. Antennae moderately robust ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ), antennomere 3 widest in apical third. Antennae reaching three fifths of elytral length, antennomere 11 parallelsided. Antennae covered with long erected pubescence. Pronotum 1.4 times width at base than long at midline ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ). Anterior angles obtuse, but apparent, posterior angles acutely projected. Disc shining, with long light pubescence. Disc with two shallow but apparent rounded depressions, laterally to basal part of longitudinal midline. Elytra parallelsided, 3.8 times longer than width at humeri. Costae fine, covered with dense light pubescence. Phallus curved in apical third, internal sac partly sclerotized ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ).
Measurements. BL 6.80 mm, WH 1.53 mm PL 0.96 mm, PW 1.33 mm, Ediam 0.40 mm, Edist 0.43 mm.
Distribution. Central Sulawesi Province, Mamasa valley.
Etymology. The specific name " rubromamasensis " refers to the similarity of the phalli of P. mamasensis sp. n. and P. rubromamasensis sp. n. and to the reddish brown elytral margins of the later species.
