Sungallia truncata View in CoL sp. nov.

Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 C, G, K; 21B, E; 24A–H.

Color pattern similar to that in Skandagallia dietrichi sp. nov. with thoracic, abdominal and forewings coloration paler. Pronotal black markings more anteriorly placed, posterior half brownish, face with brownish spots and median stripe on upper area smaller and paler. Clypellus with median stripe dark brown.

Male genitalia: Pygofer well sclerotized, anterior margin thickened, ventrocaudal and dorsocaudal margins rounded, caudal margin rather oblique, with hook-like ventral process arising at midlength, without any stout setae. Subgenital plates with apices obliquely truncate and inner angles acute. Styles rather robust, inner fork slightly shorter than outer fork, caudally rounded and sinuately curved. Aedeagus with one pair of apical processes, each process forked, forks unequal, shaft with small tooth making aedeagus rather asymmetrical.

Female. unknown.

Measurements. Male 2.5 mm long, 1.0 mm wide across eyes.

Material examined. Holotype 3, CHINA: B44, Yunnan, Yuanmou County, Yuanmazhen, Yuelongcun, Dahei Mountain, 25.iii.2005, Li Qiao ( NWAU). Paratype: 1 3 data as in holotype ( NWAU).

Etymology. The species name alludes to the truncate subgenital plates.

Host. Dodonaea viscosa (L.) Jacq.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Remarks. This species closely resembles Skandagallia dietrichi but differs from it by the ventral process of the pygofer and truncate subgenital plates in addition to the structure of style, connective and aedeagus.
