Current valid name: Papio anubis (Lesson, 1827) ZMB 156, mounted skin; Egypt; collected by Brehm between 1847 and 1852.
Comment: The description is based on three specimens collected by Theodor von Heuglin in 1855 on the Shilluk Islands , White Nile, Sudan and Sennaar. The Brehm specimen is therefore not a type, nor is it noted as such in the General catalog, it is simply marked as such on the label .
