Paralectotype: ZMB 3190, female, mounted skin; Cachoeira de Bananeira (upper Rio Madeira), Brazil; collected by Natterer 03 September 1829, received from Naturhistorisches Museum Wien .
Comment: the lectotype and two paralectotypes are in the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien. The specimen NMW 775 View Materials /B 3454 (no.61) male, skull, and skin was designated by Elliot (1913) as lectotype, as explained by Engelberger (2010) .
