Current valid name: Plecturocebus cupreus ( Spix, 1823)
Paralectotype: ZMB 264, male, adult, skull [not located], skin; Brazil, received from Museum München, donated by Spix.
Comment: Hill (1960: 122) designated a female, adult, mounted skin, skull inside ( ZSM 10 View Materials ) in München as the lectotype. Three further paralectotypes are in München ( ZSM 24 View Materials , ZSM 89 View Materials a, and ZSM 89 View Materials b), and one further paralectotype in Leiden (Paralectotype, RMNH.MAM.39086) .
