Current valid name: Chlorocebus tantalus tantalus (Ogilby, 1841)
Holotype: ZMB 9101 / ZMB 7727, male, adult, skull, skin; Yola, Benue River, Nigeria; collected by Passarge, 07 September 1893.
Comment: Holotype according to Schwarz (1926, p. 33), and marked with a type asterisk and a note in the General catalog by Matschie himself. Matschie’s description is based on the male from Yola, Benue River, collected by Passarge.
