Syntype: ZMB 3191, male, skull, skin; Borba, Rio Madeira , Amazonas, Brazil; collected by Natterer 1830, received from Museum Wien .
Comment: Further four syntypes are located in the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien ( NMW B 3456 View Materials , B 3455 View Materials , B3457 View Materials , ST 970 View Materials ), one syntype in the Natural History Museum London ( BMNH 1870.3.10.3), and one syntype in the Naturalis Biodiversity Center Leiden ( RMNH.MAM.39099) .
