Current valid name: Piliocolobus gordonorum Matschie, 1900
Holotype: ZMB 86983, incomplete skin; “Utshungwe-Gebirge” [ Udzungwa Mountains ], “Uhehe Gebiet” [formerly the territory of the Hehe people], southeast of Iringa, Tanzania; collected by von Gordon, undated.
Comment: Matschie mentioned that the Gordon brothers had collected two specimens. The skulls were lost during transport, and the two skins were damaged. One skin ended up in the Berlin Museum ; the whereabouts of the second skin are unknown .
